As we continue to branch out into new cities, we kicked off the San Francisco event by welcoming members from our recently launched LA chapter. Joining us in San Francisco for their first meeting were:

• Nina Monte Karp, co-founder of Happiest Baby
• Andrej Kostresevic, CEO of Nomads & Expack
• Slaven Moro, project engineering lead for Facebook’s Connectivity Lab

Our group also launched publicly at the Belgrade Venture Forum this week, helping to bring Google Launchpad to Serbia. SF member Brano Perkovic introduced the group during a fireside chat with the head of Google Launchpad for Central and Eastern Europe.

Pitch

The main focus of the evening was a pitch from a startup in stealth mode looking to make a breakthrough in healthcare imaging. The post-talk Q&A focused on strategies for bringing a product to market in a field where government regulation, patient compliance, and legacy healthcare systems all pose challenges to adoption.

Connections

We ended the evening by announcing a few new ways to connect with our organization, all of which we are very excited about. Thanks to those who worked hard on rolling it out, our website was relaunched in time for this month’s event: serbianentrepreneurs.com.
